How it started
Patrick "PJ" Bruno
In 1958, Patrick J. (Pat) Bruno borrowed $5 from his wife to get a State of Iowa Insurance License. He was hired by Reserve Life and quickly became a top agent, earning numerous awards and accolades. In 1961, he was promoted and transferred to Wisconsin to serve as State Manager. After 15 successful years, he decided to start his own marketing agency, Insurance Marketing Incorporated.His agency grew to cover five states and included more than 500 agents, making him the top Medicare Supplement producer in the country. In 1979, he took a vacation to Arizona and instantly fell in love with the state. He moved the organization to Scottsdale and continued to market and develop insurance products until his passing in 2009.
